Information You Submit
Search terms
A name or location entered into the search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Washington County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those terms on its own server through the page markup.
Messages
An email or contact message may be kept so a response can be sent and the conversation can be understood. It is not shared outside the organization unless needed to respond, required by law, or necessary to protect rights and safety.
Technical Data and Cookies
Normal page requests can produce technical information such as:
- IP address and approximate network details.
- Browser name, version, language, and device type.
- Operating system and screen or device characteristics.
- Pages viewed, referring page, and time spent.
- Request timestamps and error information.
Cookies or similar tools may help understand use of the pages or keep a feature working. Browser settings can block them, although some behavior may change when they are disabled.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to keep the pages available, route a search to the selected provider, understand which sections are useful, fix faults, prevent abuse, and show advertising that may reflect browsing interests. Search partners, analytics services, and advertising networks can process information on their own systems under their own terms.
Outside Websites
Pages link to the Washington County Sheriff, detention and court sources, NCDAC, BOP, ICE, local news, and other services. Once a link is opened, that provider’s privacy policy controls its data handling. A linked office or partner may use different retention, cookie, and access practices.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold by this resource. It may be received by search providers handling a submitted query, analytics vendors, advertising networks, service providers that keep the pages running, or law enforcement and government bodies acting under a valid legal order or other legal duty.
Security Practices
Reasonable technical and organizational steps are used to protect information, but no internet-connected system is fully secure. This notice does not promise that a message, search request, or technical record can never be exposed, lost, or misused.
Visitors Under 18
The resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor sends personal data, a parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to ask that it be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to law and reasonable verification, a person may ask what personal information is held, request correction, request deletion, or object to certain processing. Send a clear request through Contacts. The request should identify the information and the action sought. Data that must be retained for security, legal, accounting, or recordkeeping reasons may not be deleted at once.
